POET DEEANNE GORMAN hails from the South, is a graduate of The George Washington University and The New School, and longtime resident of NewYork City. She has participated in writing workshops and been a featured reader both in the U.S. and France, with her work appearing in The Sunday Independent (Ashland, KY), The Casanova Quarterly (Washington, DC &NYC), Servi Bleu (France), Upstairs at Duroc (Paris, France), and in New York City’s Riverside Poets’ and Parkside Poets’ annual anthologies. As ayoung writer, she won the poetry prize at John Rolfe Middle School inRichmond, VA; later as a young adult, 2nd Place in the 1999 Molly BloomPoetry Competition of Paris.
